INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Congressional Candidate David Boyd issued the following statement on Integrity in Indiana's 6th Congressional District Race
"It has come to my attention that another candidate in the 6th Congressional District race is stealing several of my proposals and presenting them as their own. In many cases, they are using my words verbatim on social media and on their website. These are acts of deception and misappropriation.
"Integrity is an important value that political candidates must possess, especially when the office they seek requires representing hundreds of thousands of Americans.
"Our politics are distorted when candidates fail to produce original ideas or portray to share the same lived experiences as other candidates. It is distorted when candidates are willing to say anything to try to get across the finish line.
"Voters want authenticity, not duplicity. They are looking for candidates who are honest and have integrity, not candidates that copy/paste or repackage proposals from other candidates in order to make themselves appear legitimate.
"As federal candidates, we have a duty to not mislead the American people we seek to represent. Voters deserve better than this.
"To voters of the 6th District: I encourage you to do your research before casting your ballot on May 5th, because integrity is needed in Washington, D.C. more than ever before."
